About AWSA
The Australian Wound & Skin Alliance is an alliance of wound clinicians and researchers who are passionate about collaboration, critical inquiry, discussion, debate and learning. The Alliance was formed through a bond of dedication and commitment to foster an environment where clinicians have opportunities for mentorship, understanding of ethical practices and to develop friendships and networks. The AWSA Board have dedicated years to education and research, with a focus on advancing both their theoretical knowledge base and clinical practice. The Board are interested in critical thinking and learning, and challenging the conventional scientific wisdom.
The Australian Wound & Skin Alliance aims to provide wound clinicians and researchers with a unique forum to interact with experts in the field, question the science, respectfully debate, and discuss diverse perspectives.
AWSA Summer School
To achieve its aim, the Australian Wound & Skin Alliance offers a biennial summer school for Advanced Clinicians in Allied Health and Nursing, Nurse Practitioners, Medical Practitioners, Scientists, and emerging leaders in wound management. The AWSA Summer School embraces an interactive learning philosophy that goes beyond traditional didactic lectures. Our curriculum allows for in-depth discourse, exploration of best practices, examination of both strengths and limitations, and insights into emerging trends and technologies. We actively encourage attendee participation and respectful engagement within both learning sessions and the social program. Attendance is limited to enhance the learning experience.
We are thrilled to offer such a unique experience that will challenge and support seasoned professionals. It is our privilege to be part of this journey and we welcome you to join the discussion!
