Opportunity to win a trip to the 2026 WUWHS Conference and AWSA 2027 Summer School: the Coloplast FIT Case Report Challenge
Kickstart your wound care journey with the Coloplast FIT Case Report Challenge, an Australian and New Zealand initiative for healthcare professionals to share their clinical expertise in treating chronic wounds and preventing pressure injuries using Biatain® Silicone Fit.
Coloplast, in collaboration with the Australian Wound & Skin Alliance (AWSA), is committed to supporting professional education and evidence-based practice in wound care. This challenge is your opportunity to reflect, contribute, and be recognised.
Author of the top submission (ranked first) will receive an award up to the maximum value of $6,000 (AUD) to attend World Union of Wound Healing Societies Conference 2026 (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and present at AWSA Conference 2027
Two runners up submissions (ranked second and third) will receive an award with the value of up to $1500 (AUD) each towards attending AWSA Summer School 2027.
The Challenge
1. Sign up by visiting Coloplast Professional or contacting your Coloplast Territory Manager to request the FIT Case Report Pack (includes the report template and consent form, plus additional FAQs)
2. Find an appropriate patient with a chronic wound or area that requires Biatain® Silicone Fit for pressure injury prevention
3. Implement a relevant wound type-specific pathway
4. Treat/Prevent with Biatain Silicone Fit.
5. Write up your Case Report and submit by 31st May 2026 to Coloplast.

Seeking participants for focus group sessions on chronic wound odour (PhD researcher at UTS, Sydney)
Experiences of odour in chronic wounds: A qualitative investigation from the perspectives of patients, caregivers, and clinicians
You are invited to participate in a focus group session seeking your experience with odour from chronic wounds.
Your participation in this study will help us better understand the perspectives from health care professionals of odour in chronic wound care, including the impact, assessment, and management strategies. This research is being conducted as part of a Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of Technology Sydney. Your insights and expertise will be greatly appreciated.
The focus group session will be conducted virtually via Zoom and will last for a maximum of 60 minutes. There will be two sessions in March/April. The focus groups will be audio recorded and transcribed. There are no follow up interviews or sessions.
